Bluecrest Rentals Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Bluecrest Rentals collects, uses, and protects information for renters, rental operations, and the Bluecrest Rentals mobile app.

Information We Collect

  • Account and contact information such as name, email address, phone number, renter status, and app login records.
  • Rental information such as assigned vehicle, rental agreement status, payment status, compliance status, and support history.
  • Payment records such as amount due, recent payments, payment status, and Stripe customer status. Full card numbers are handled by Stripe and are not stored by Bluecrest Rentals.
  • Vehicle check-in information such as odometer readings, dashboard photos, interior photos, exterior photos, warning-light notes, and submission timestamps.
  • Vehicle issue reports such as category, description, urgency, optional issue photos, and message history.
  • Device information needed for app notifications, such as Expo push token, platform, device name, and app version.

How We Use Information

  • To operate active rentals, verify account status, show balances, support payments, and keep renters informed.
  • To maintain vehicle condition records, schedule support, track odometer-dependent maintenance needs, and respond to reported issues.
  • To provide rental documents, insurance card access, app notifications, customer support, and account-related communications.
  • To protect Bluecrest Rentals, renters, vehicles, and payment records from fraud, misuse, missing documentation, or unresolved balances.

Sharing

  • We use service providers to run the rental system, including hosting, authentication, payment processing, email, SMS, document handling, and operational record storage.
  • We may share information when required by law, to enforce rental agreements, to protect vehicles or users, or to resolve claims, disputes, payments, insurance, or safety issues.
  • We do not sell renter personal information.

Location and Telematics

  • The iOS app does not request iPhone location permission.
  • Some Bluecrest rental vehicles may use vehicle telematics or GPS systems outside the mobile app for fleet security, recovery, maintenance, mileage, and rental compliance. Those systems are governed by the rental agreement and applicable notices.

Retention and Security

  • We keep rental records for as long as needed to operate rentals, satisfy legal/accounting requirements, resolve disputes, document payments, and protect the fleet.
  • We use access controls and third-party platforms with security controls, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your Choices

  • You can contact Bluecrest to request help with account access, incorrect records, communication preferences, or document questions.
  • You can disable app notifications in iOS settings. Some rental-related notices may still be sent by SMS, email, phone, or the web portal when needed to operate the rental account.
